This is my first post. I am relatively new to quilting (approx 2 years). I started quilting when my husband and I retired to Florida and I finally had the time. I commuted 3 hours every day for the last 13 years of my working career so I didn't have much time left for anything else. I've completed 8 quilts of various sizes since then. My last project was a wall hanging. I discovered the pattern in Keepsake Quilting and just fell in love with it. We were lived in Amarillo, TX for 13 years and spent many vacations in New Mexico and Colorado. This particular pattern brings back many wonderful memories. The pattern was time consuming but not difficult and the artist (Sara Cibelli) will graciously answer any e-mail questions you send her.

It is gorgeous! Some of us in chat last week were talking about making Native American themed quilts, but yours will be hard to beat! What part of FL are you from? Welcome!

beauty....

I've found some "Mexican" themed fabric that I'm going to combine with red peppers and 'fire' for a quilt - just haven't decided on the pattern yet...

Welcome!

Congrats on the stunning wall hanging! What size is it?

Your quilt is awesome, I love the striking colors and the women, like friends, or sisters.

Hope that you enter this in a local quilt show, or with your quilt guild, I'm sure you will a prize!

I just can't say enough I am so taken with it.

thanx for sharing with us.

Janette!

You lived in Amarillo? I still live there! That is so fun! Where are you in Florida now? We visited the Fort Meyer's area last summer. It is so beautiful there. Nice to meet you!
