Hi Everyone! So glad to be in this sunshine state, living just south of Las Vegas, in a suburb called Henderson. Also very glad to have found this message board. I just bought a new sewing machine, and it has 60 stitches and 5 different buttonholes, and while I don't mean to date myself, the last sewing machine I owned had one stitch that went forwards and backwards (not even a zig zag) and I did all of my button holes by hand. Whew! I love technology. Now I've must drag myself away from playing with the stitches (they're so cute) and actually make myself productive again. I've always wanted to resume quilting. The ones I made 'way back when' are still in use, but I see now how amateurish they are, and want to do better. For the record, I used to make formal dresses and almost all my own clothes, including blue jeans, on that sewing machine with one stitch! Amazing! I'm anxious to see what my new baby can do! But I'm going to need help, and that's why I'm glad to have found all of you. Thank you for being here!

Welcome from Texas...you will find the quilters are so darn helpful and they don't seem to care how many stitches your machine has. They play favorites to the one stitch kind. They love the featherweights....Just ask them..

Wow! Did my computer hiccup on that response, or what! Anyway, WELCOME,

Oh, and my first machine had 66 stitches and I just bought a machine that has just a straight stitch. We call those "vintage" now! :)
