:-)Hi, I'm new to this, so please be patient with me. I'm retired so now have lots of time to spend on quilting. I love to paper piece as well as regular piecing and some applique. I'm physically challenged but have adjusted my sewing area to suit. I live in WV and no we aren't all hillbillies. I'm on the computer every day so will answer any messages.

Hi Phyden! Virginia is BEAUTIFUL, so be proud you live there! It's nice that you mentioned paper piecing since I like to do that too. In fact, I've been gathering templates for a New York Beauty-style quilt. Are you familiar with the quilts of Jacqueline De Jonge? She has a nice website and works mostly with batiks. I'm going to do a variation on her "Joy" quilt. As you can imagine, those spikes have to all be paper pieced. She uses a lot of flying geese arcs too and those are hard to find templates for. I figure I may have to draft my own templates. What types of quilts do you make using foundation or paper piecing?

Hi Glad you joined the group.
I'm also from West Virginia. What city are you from? jazs2 |
Thanks for the input. I paper piece anything that will sit still long enough for me to draft an idea! Can't show any of my work as it goes out the door faster than I can sew.
|
Jazs2?? I think I got that right. I live in Oak Hill, just about 9 miles sort of northeast of Beckley on hwy 19. Where do you live?
