nwm50: I'm looking for patterns of quilts our grandmothers made (well...that MY grandmother made!)..."old-fashioned" quilts, the ones whose patterns wound up in the Kansas City Star back in the 20s and 30s.

bj: yes, I found Quilters Cache a couple of weeks ago...great site! However, proving that beggars CAN be choosers, I'd LOVE to have a photo of the finished product along with the block pattern. That's why the old books are such a treasure.

clem55: I envy you if the process seems easier than when you last made quilts. Every project I've started in the last month has turned into a SNAFU, especially when I tried to use the strip/machine piecing!

There is a book called "Mountain Mist Quilt Favorites" that has templates, direction, and pictures for a lot of old-fashioned quilts. Go to amazon and search for the name, hopefully they will have it.

Just looked on amazon and they have the Mountain Mist book used starting at $2.50 plus $3.99 shipping if you are interested.
