I certainly think you got a deal. I purchased a Gammill and took delivery in June 2011 and love it. They have a very good reputation and are built solidly. Do contact Gammill. I do know that they can retrofit older Gammills with the new breeze track system and on screen display, so I'm guessing a stitch regulator could be added to yours. Good Luck.
