I have watched this thread for several years, and enjoy reading it daily! I have been quilting for about30 years, finally tried free motion quilting and like it, just wish i was better, I have one step great granddaughter 6 years, and a great granddaughter, 6 months ols, and enjoy both. We live in Wyoming, but winter in Arizona and have for many years.and I read the digest every day. |

Welcome from the Florida Panhandle. Congrats on trying free motion, it will get better with practice, you have already done the hardest part, letting yourself get started.

Welcome from Southern California. FMQ takes time to get your coordination matched with your DSM. Try following a line. You might find it easier at first. Just remember to NOT look at the needle but down the road where you want your quilting stitches to go.
