It is almnost time for summer to be over. We have had some rain that was very refreshing associated with tropical stuff. Do you other quilters quiver in the thunderstorms and unplug your machines?

I'm from Northern California....where it is around 105 degrees and dry most of the summer. But we did have some thunder storms last week......pretty nerve racking!

There's not much of a season change down here.

Fall is always welcome here in Centennial, CO. It is our monsoon right now so we are getting heavy rains in the afternoon here. It hasn't been as hot as usual but it has still been hot. It is so pretty here in the fall and when all of the kids go back to school there is a feeling of peace and quiet and organization. I am looking forward to it more eagerly this year than every before.

Hello from upstate New York. Aug is the last month of hot weather for me up here. Then it's leaves turning colors and fresh apples everywhere! Although i like summer, i can't wait to be inside sewing, baking and getting ready for the Holidays!!

Welcome to the board. I agree - Fall can't come soon enough! I could do with three seasons and leave out summer. Also, Fall means bowling leagues begin and I love to bowl - almost as much as I love to quilt!
