Quilting with panels
 

Hi my name is Brenda and I live in a beautiful part of Arkansas lake rivers you name it.
My problem is I want to make a quilt for grandson he is in to all kinds of sports but favors baseball. So I have a baseball panel and now I don't have a clue what to do because they are all different size of pictures. The secondary material I chose is baseball bats. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Do you have a picture of the panel and the other fabric?

I have some panels I've purchased, but I haven't done anything with them yet, so I'm not much help. Welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.

Sounds like it's one panel with several pictures you can cut out? You could work with it a few ways...

You could cut it out, border each piece, and put it back together the same way.

You could just leave the panel as a whole piece and put a border around it.

You could cut out each piece and put enough fabric around them to make them all the same size, even making them "wonky" within the larger blocks, then assemble them with or without sashing.

It would be easier with a photo of the actual panel (or a link to it on a website, or we can even track it down with the info on the selvedge).

Welcome from Central Florida! I use panels and add extra batting under just what I want to be more 3-D looking. It makes for a fantastic quilt! With panels like you described, I'd cut the pictures apart, frame them and use a sashing to make the quilt bigger. Can't wait to see what you decide to do with it! Happy quilting!
