Hello, all! I just stumbled in a couple of weeks ago. I'm impressed with how well organized and user friendly this site is, and what a lot of lovely people I'm bumping into from all over the world. I am mostly a random hobbyist, and I'm always making something or thinking about a project of one kind or another. Besides quilting a bit, I knit, crochet, sew, make scale miniatures, and dabble with paint. I have also become pretty skilled at hanging my own wallpaper through the years, and have even played around with fired clay sculpting, though that fell by the wayside when we moved too far from the studio. All this necessarily means I'm master of nothing, but I have fun, and I'm always learning new techniques. My DH and I raised two sons and a daughter, and now are thrilled to be grandparents of a darling one-year-old boy. We have 2 elderly rescued basenjis and 2 charming kitties. I just decided to use the cats for my avatar because I'm getting tired of seeing the one little quilt I'd been using. I love looking at all the wonderful pictures on this site. I can see you all will be an inspiration to me for years to come!
