Hi from Utah!

Regarding the storage unit: Would there be sufficient electrical outlets? Will you have enough light? What about temperature: hot in summer, cold in winter? Would there be a problem with insects or rodents?

It could be a nice little “she shed” if you can work out the logistics.

Welcome from the state of Oregon! Almost Texan here :) I lived in the Dallas area for so long I have that Texas accent even after 17 years away.

Would the storage unit owners even allow such a thing to be done?

Welcome to the board!

Another question for renting a storage unit - what happens if you miss a rent payment? I know that people run businesses from rental units, but I think the rental unit is a small warehouse to them. Temperature control is important, but just as important is what exactly does that mean? I don't know the weather cycles in Utah, but if temp control means 45 degrees in winter and 85 degrees in summer, that could become uncomfortable to work in.

'Varmint' control is a good thing to know about. My mom rented a unit for a couple of years. The mice loved all the stuff to nest in and chewed up a few things, as well.

Let us know how it turns out.

Howdy from another Texan. Not so sure about the storage shed rental unit as an option for where to quilt. Are you talking about a climate controlled unit? Maybe you are talking about having an individual unit (like a container) moved to your property that you will rent & sort of "convert" into your sewing room. Anyway, welcome to the boards & I hope you enjoy it here.
