Does anyone else have this machine? If so, do you have trouble with the timing? My machine has been fixed by Singer twice and now they say that they are done. Each time I have had the machine fixed I sew about 15 minutes then it jams again. This leaves it out of time. So I have a very expensive box of junk in my garage. I have seen other posting on the internet about others having the same trouble, so I was wondering if any of you have had trouble.

Thanks

I don't know about this specific model, but Singer has a bad reputation now for all except the highest-end models.

Welcome to the board from Southern California!!
Can't help you with your machine but someone here may have the same one and can give you some trouble shooting suggestions!!

I think a lot of people buy a Singer because of their reputation of old, but don't realize they're not made to "last" nowadays. Personally, I wouldn't buy any kind of "modern" Singer.

I just bought a Futura CE-250 I have had no problems as of yet. But if you take it to JOANNs they should be able to help you.Plus I own another singer (28 years) never had a problem with this one.

Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D

I have the CE-200 and so far so good. I am not happy with the plastic bobbins and how picky the machine is over every little teeny burr on them though
I only use it for embroidery and once in a while for the different decorative stitches. I am afraid if I used it for every day sewing, it would not last very long... just from the "feel" of the machine while using it.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I would love it if anyone had a way of fixing the timing. I purchased this machine about 4 1/2 years ago and have had nothing but trouble. I have followed all the directions, used the right bobbins and threads. It just makes me so upset because I have been fighting with them for so long and they don't seem to care. I know that they have fixed the problem in the later machines, so I don't know why they won't admit that this machine is a lemon. My daughter recently gave me a Brother SE350 and so far it is so much fun.
