Sleepless in Seattle
Hi, I am Molly. I quilt and piece by hand. I used to have a machine and made clothing and curtains and even a quilt for my college boyfriend that was tied. (1974)
In 1984, while visiting the Folk Art Museum in NYC, I fell in love with quilts. I ditched my machine, which always felt like work to me, and taught myself how to quilt. I finish about 4 or 5 quilts a year and usually have anywhere from 15-20 that are in progress. I find hand quilting relaxing and wish I could find some kindred spirits here in Seattle! |

Hi Molly When I learned to quilt it was by hand, I have also tried to do machine piecing and am going to try machine quilting on my dsm. Not in Seattle but have a sister near there. Welcome to the board. I visited the folk art museum in NYC in 2011 and saw a variety of star quilts on display and the quilt commemorating the 9/11 tragedy. Happy quilting.
