Hi I am new to this site & I really do not know how it works. I live in tinley park,il. I've been quilting for about 11 years. I have a Janome 6600 which I love & also a handiquiter sweet 16, I'm still practicing with it. But it's coming along. I am married for 34 years & I have 2 daughters. I retired last July after 20 years as a medical asst. I am going to be a first time grandmother in August. I can't wait, I am beyond excited. Just finished a quilt for my sister who is 65 tomm. I'll be starting a baby quilt next. I don't know any other quilters so this would be a nice place to talk with other quilters.

Hi Sue. Welcome from NJ. We're all about quilting here (among other things) so jump on in. You'll probably be surprised to learn of folks here not far from you. A friend stopped here last evening and saw the quilt I am currently working on. She mentioned she had stopped at another friend's home prior to coming here and was surprised to learn that person quilted. I suggested she hook up her cousin's wife with the friend. She didn't know the cousin's wife quilted as well. They only live a couple of miles from one another.
