hello, i am a 68 year young housewife. have been retired since 1990 and have decided to try my hand at quilting but first i want to make some nice pillow case's with lace on them. i love Percale fabric but don't know where to but it. any suggestions? i want to practice making straight lines and i thought case's would be a good way to learn and have something in the end.
thanks for any help you can give me. :) |
I just made 6 sets for Christmas. I used 100% cotton that I would use in a quilt. You can get this at a fabric store or a quilt shop. If you like to shop on line there are lots of online fabric stores.

Welcome from Wet and Windy Central California.
Try sheets, they come in Percale and can be found new and used all over town. I use sheets a lot in quilting. I think they come in different weights like most sheeting material. For hand quilting most on this forum seem to advise lower thread count instead of the finest and highest counts. |
