Hi Karen
Welcome from New Hampshire I hand quilt with Bottom Line, a very thin 60wt. polyester or with Aurifil a 50wt cotton, sometimes a YLI cotton hand quilting thread, if I have the colour I need. Do add location to your Profile page. |
Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D
I think 30wt is a bit heavy, but feel free to use whatever weight thread that you feel looks best for your quilting :D:D:D |
I am looking for good buys on thread. I am new to quilting and need lots of colors. Would like to buy a collection of thread. Any suggestions?

Thanks. I think I'm going to enjoy this board.

Welcome from another Karen. For the thread, the higher the number the lighter the thread. 50 is usually what you use for regular sewing in your machine. 30 would be for hand quilting or buy thread designed for hand quilting.
