I guess it’s time to introduce myself. I was born & raised in Chicago. I live in Las Vegas. I work in a casino
I’ve been sewing for 45 years. I’ve made lots of stuff over the years. I sew on a Janome MC9700 which I got about 2 yrs back. Man do I love that machine.
How I got the name FancyFoot:
I tore the tibia tendon (the one that goes to your arch) in my left foot. My coworkers started calling me different nicknames & FancyFoot stuck. During my rehab I learned appliqué, read the quilt boards & decided to join & share some of my creations with others.
My avatar:
I got this troll in 1964. He has gone everywhere with me. I have a huge troll collection in a curio. That was the big fad in the 60’s.
Hi to all,
Nancy

Welcome to the Board Nancy FancyFoot! I love your troll, I used to have one - about the only "doll" I ever kept for any length of time.
Looking forward to seeing some of your quilts too - we LOVE pics here!

Hey welcome to the board. I love trolls. I used to have a collection of them when I was younger. lol I am a fickle collector I guess. Yours is adorable.

Welcome!

I still have my troll also! Mine is from a little later, but still the same vintage. I have all the old clothing I made for it in a little bag. Wedding dress and all... :D

Welcome FancyFoot: Sorry you had foot problems but hope all is OK now. Love those Cassinos. Do you play or are you of the mind set that only crazy people gamble? I'm the crazy people. I just love to go and play about once a year. I'm usually really lucky but my DH is NOT! We balance each other out.

Welcome to the board. With 45 years sewing experience I'm sure we'll be able to look to you for some great hints, shortcuts and answers to puzzling questions. Glad you joined us.

Hi Feathers,
My foot is doing well thankyou, it has its moments but it's still in the healing stage.
As for gambling, I DO NOT partake or recommend playing AGAINST odds. I would rather focus my funds towards sewing stuff & entertainment (concerts).

Welcome from Iowa, I wondered who had the troll. I have a troll bank from when i was little. My brother found an antique troll and bought it for me. i have several others but they are the oldest. I remember traveling to Peoria sitting on the floor of the car with my sister and making troll clothes for our trolls. Hope to see lots of your work.
