Hello everyone. Have been reading "board" for long time but now time to step forward. I currently live in CT but moving to GA very soon. Recently retired and plan to make use of a embroidery machine I bought 5 years ago in anticipation of time to sew, embroidery and quilt. I have almost made one quilt top (lap size) but that's it folks. Local quilt shop in town I am moving to offers classes and have made my plans for classes. And today I discovered the joy of starting a stash - oh my stars but that was fun. Shop right down the road - all fabrics $2 a yard and although selection is not large, fabrics are lovely. Okay I will stop after this one thing. I don't understand all the abreviations used - some I have figured out but please keep in mind some newbies aren't too good at this. Thanks for letting me share this. Look forward to many "good times" with all of you.

Welcome to the Quilting Board. I guess I don't use too many abbreviations. By the time I think about using one, I've already typed out the words in full. It took me a little while to 'get' all of the abbreviations; reading the posts mentioned earlier, that list the abbreviations, is the best way to get up to speed on them.
