What a wonderful idea. I have so much "stuff" and so little space, this would be great way for me to get organized.

Hello & welcome from south Louisiana.
When reading one of the tips gave me an idea. I made handles for my mom's crochet needles with polymer clay, you could do the same with the small seam ripper. That way u can make it any size that is comfortable for you. The clay is not expensive, you can get a variety of colors at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

that's a great tip. I could make it so, some of my stuff wouldn't 'roll away' so easy either,...flat sides. thanks, myrna.

I print tips on my computer, punch holes with my 3 hole punch, and stack them up to put in my 'tips' binder. The stack is more than an inch high. And it's mixed up with the tips and ideas for my 'quilting' binder, my 'sewing' binder and my 'embroidery machine' binder. A pitiful attempt to get organized.

Oh, you reminded me of why I asked for a digital camera in the first place several years ago. I'm always finishing a wedding quilt at the last minute - wrapping it as I dress for the wedding. I keep a scrapbook of pictures my my quilts. Now I can take that last minute picture and print it to make the card to accompany the gift.

This tip is so basic to me, but not everybody does it, and it can save you a lot of time and energy...label, label, label!
Many have seen my cave pics, (sewing/quilting room)...and I label every itty bitty thing! If I have fabrics in a container that you can't see into...I make a list and tape to the outside. Saves, moving it, opening, digging and sometimes re-folding and putting back. You know how much time that saves, with just one container? add it all up = quilty time!
How many of us are getting younger?
