My name is Kristy, I live southern Indiana and i really want to learn to quilt. I have been looking at all of the pictures of beautiful quilts on here and i hope that I can make something as beautiful one day. I have tried to make a baby quilt, it ended up big enough for a twin size bed...oops! but the girl I made for loved it anyway.

Welcome from MA - I love your Avatar picture. Is that a beagle? I have two myself. They are the most loveable boys.

Hi Kristy. Welcome . This is a wonderful place. no question is odd or unanswered. Everyone will give advise, encouragement and ideas. Great ideas from here !

Hint: Utube. Utube is my friend ! I learned how to use my machines threader, how to cut fabric with the pizza cutter against drafting tools ( not the right names - engineering for years and WISH I had this idea). Learned how to make the disappearing 9 patch and what that looked like, how to make pinwheels like a snap! how to bind a quilt of odd edges.

I have been quilting off and on for 30 years and still have lots to learn by Utube. My friend. :)

Hi and welcome to the board from Iowa. My quilts, also, seem to "grow" beyond their original anticipated size (smile).
