Hi - I am making a fan quilt and need a couple of tips - whats the best way to attach the fan to the background? Applique or piece the curve?

Hi Carol & welcome to the board...I enjoy hand applique so that would be my choice..I consider it my therapy....just depends on what you like to do..

Welcome from someone who lived in WI and loved it!! Wish I was still there. Sorry, no help with your question!

My quilt is king size - 56 fans, so I am leaning toward machine applique if I can find a stitch that works well. The fans are made of 45 different oriental fabrics.

Hello! I made a fan wall hanging that was a cat body and tail. It was all appliqued onto the block. If you piece curve, it's a little tricky, just pin it a lot!
