Hi I am Janet Bales. I am a brand new quilter. I just now have some time to play. I am a retired counselor and marriage educator of 27 years. I have four grown children and three wonderful grandsons.
In getting started quilting, I had asked my familyto buy products that I needed for birthdays, Christmas, etc. What I did need was to get patterns to cut my pieces without having to wait for special occasion. My husband volunteered to cut my needed patterns out of pine wood, one fourth thick. I then clued a wooded old spool to the top so that I could hold it down. I then polyurethined the whole thing. I love this and he as cut many patterns of different shapes and I used my old collection of spools appropriate to size. Works great for me. |

Hi Janet...I just joined after lurking for two days. Your wooden patterns sound neet. Your husband should make lots and sell them at quilt shows. I'd Buy!
