Hello from Wisconsin
Hello, I am Theresa and I live in SE Wisconsin. I have been a weaver for years, so I have been sewing on my handwovens using a 1956 Singer 401a, but last month I aquired a 1950 Featherweight and the card table that goes with it and thought I would try my hand at quilting.
I made my first quilt last weekend and was quite surprised at how fun and engaging it was to create. It was also very challenging to get all of those seams straight and the same size, same with cutting all the pieces out. My sewing and rotary cutting skills are quite weak. I made loops for the quilt and turned it into a wall hanging. It is now hanging above my 401a to help me along on improving my skills, and to enjoy - it came out kind of pretty.
