Default So You Wanna Go to Pittsburgh?

    No?

Me either. But that's where I am. The really nice thing about this area is that vintage sewing machines are crazy inexpensive... and the really bad thing about this area is that vintage sewing machines are crazy inexpensive. I have way too many. If you stop by, I might give you one. =)

I have been wanting to go to Pittsburgh - my daughter and I like to go to the MLB stadiums. Now to know about the antique sewing machines, I will need to make plans....

Welcome from the St.Louis area. Every six months I mail forms to Pittsburgh. Been there too. I was born and lived the first 44 years of my life in a steel town. Married to an ex steel worker, Son and nephew still in steel, dad and grandpa were steel men too. We have cheap machines here too.

    Awe thanks everyone!

After I said that about inexpensive machines, I thought: Ah oh.... may have jinxed it. Got up early this morning, drove to a yard sale, came back with a Singer 403 portable with case, pedal, complete attachment box -and- a strong mildew scent tossed in for free........

    for five dollars.

    We're still good. Bring a truck. =)

Your introductory post cracked me up!
My husband used to go to Pittsburgh on business and liked it a lot.
I know what you mean about vintage machines- they are so addicting!
    Welcome to the board!

Welcome from Ohio. We are about 3 hours drive to Pittsburgh. I’ve visited several times and enjoyed it every time. Until they opened stores in Ohio, we drove to Pittsburgh to shop IKEA. The potential for vintage machines sounds like a good excuse for another visit.
