I came to this message board because so many hits to my website were coming from here. Someone had written a very kind comment about the needle I invented. The Spiral Eye Needle.

The Spiral Eye Needle has a small slot ont he side of the eye so it is easy to thread and stays threaded. I can't seem to get it made for smaller than a size 8, so I can't make the tiny quilting needles you may like. But I have lots of sizes and types now. And I make them in America.

I also made sure they are made from 100% surgical stainless steel. Many people are allergicv to nickel and almost all needles are made with a nickel plating. Also, stainless steel won't rust or get dull.

If you want to learn my story for inventing the needle just go to www.SpiralEyeNeedles.com.

I look forward to learning a lot from you all.

Yea, Pam! I'm so glad you're here and introduced yourself.

These needles are everything they are cracked up to be. On some quilts, and on some threads, you need to tie off and bury. My eyes are not what they used to be, and threading the needle (hundreds of times on some quilts) just wasn't an option. I tried the self-threading needles you can buy in stores. But again, after lots of buries on a single quilt, my fingers were killing me. Those two little spikes made my fingers sore.

Someone on a LA list posted about the Spiral Eye needles, so I bought some. They are quick to thread and, best of all, EASY ON THE FINGERS!!!

Welcome to the board, Pam!
