Default Accuquilt new dies

Rec'd an email about these....one is a wonky heart (ugly, in my opinion) and the other a spool--which I saw demoed by EB on YouTube. I think that die is designed wrong...pieces share cutting blades, I think would make it hard to cut individual pieces...again my personal opinion. But I do know I won't be buying either one....anyone else see these...

I saw them too. I personally don't like the "wonky" style quilts. I like order in my quilts, but then again, to each her own.

I didn't care for the wonky heart die at all. Not because it was wonky, I don't like corners on hearts. The spool die is too complicated for such an easy block to make. I don't understand their reasoning for picking new dies. Why not the Cleopatra's Fan pattern? That would have been a best seller.

I just got some new dies on Ebay- really good prices, much lower than the Accuquilt site. I'm new at this but am already getting addicted. I have so much fun using the cutter!
I saw a great tutorial on Youtube for the Spools block- can't remember who though.

I agree with you on both the dies. I was not familiar with Cleopatra's Fan but looked it up and that is a die I would invest in for sure. Wish you were AccuQuilt's adviser on new dies!

Maybe someone specifically requested these dies, and, once the die is created, it can be sold to the public. Just a thought.

Love my cutter, too. My quilts look straighter to me than they used to. It's making me somewhat impatient with some of the charity quilts I quilt, though. Unless it's one of my pre-accuquilt quilts!

All of you convinced me how great it is and you were right!
I'm still in the honeymoon phase- all I want to do is cut blocks

Quilting from the heartland, Charlene, had a video on Cleo fan...quite interesting...and she also offers templates..guess who bought them, but hasn't used them yet!

We can all be advisors to accuquilt...just go to their website and click on Contact us...that's what I do....on any site, if I want to "say" something...
