401a in desk sighted in Newport News, VA

There is a thrift shop in Newport News, VA that has a 401a in a desk for $50.00. The machine is clean for its age, hand wheel does turn, the desk is scratched but the drawers slide nicely... I forgot to check to see if the bobbin was there, sorry. It is at TYS - stands for The Yard Sale shop and is on Warwick Blvd one block over from the Newport News Airport! He will probably put it on Craigslist soon. Hopefully, someone will adopt it. It would have come home with me but there is no room for any more machines!

Oh now I know the feeling, saw a treadle singer cheap in todays paper but I have no room for more.

Very close to home, but I don't have room for another machine. I had to sell my 501a to make space for my 1130. I have a craft room but only space for one machine in a cabinet.
