Default Video lessons on Quilt in a Day

I thought to figure out a scallop border for a quilt was for a quilt genius! Honestly, I had stayed away from even trying the scallop edge because of trying to figure out the math. But I watched Eleanor explain it on the Scallop/Wave video lesson and it was like one of my biggest hurdles in quilting just disappeared! A first grader could do this, its so easy; I can't wait to try scallop border!!!

I just watched it this morning too! Might have to buy the scallop/vine template - I love the look of a scalloped border on some quilts.

Eleanor Burns has quilting figured out...the easy way!! I have been using her methods since the mid-1980's and have had such good results. I try someone else's method and always go back to Eleanor's.

Didn't get to finish my comment, any way we get 'QUILT IN A DAY' on Saturday mornings on our PBS. From 9:30-12:30 it's about sewing and quilting. starts with Nancy's Notions and ends with Fons and Porter.

I have that template and it is wonderful. It's just as easy as the video makes it look.

I just ordered that ruler yesterday. I had recently made a quilt from the Quilting Quickly magazine with a curved border, and they recommended using that ruler (which I didn't have at the time). I love the scalloped border so I know I will be using that technique again, that's why I ordered the ruler. Can't wait to get it!
