Default Longarm Quilting Machine & Frame - $3000 (Ventnor, NJ)

Found this on Craigslis - not sure if this is a good deal or not.

I saw that listing as well. I'd be VERY careful at this point as this area was hit very hard by hurricane Sandy. It could easily have been under water - and salt water at that. No idea about the set up or cost - just a cautionary word for folks who might be thinking about it.

I ran into the owners of this company at the grand rapids show. I know that they build these machines themselves after talking with them. I am not sure what there customer service is, but I can tell you that if I were you I would go with Handi Quilter. I personally purchased a used one from a private party and was told it had been sent to be cleaned and checked. When I got it home, the stitch regulator didn't work. So, I posted on facebook on the Handi quilter site and within an hour I was asked by the company itself to call them they would work with me. They are wonderful, not only did they send me the new computerized parts, but asked that I return the old ones to them at NO COST to me.
I would Highly recommend this company as they are people of there word and now a days a company such as Handi Quilter is hard to find. Good luck with your search.

This doesn't appear to have a stitch regulator, which would be a MUST for me. I have done quilting on an older machine that doesn't have one and believe me when I get around to buying a machine it will definitely have the stitch regulator. Like one of the other posters said, the service you get is 95 percent of any product you buy and HandiQuilter has been known for good service.

I am looking at the Innova machine, think it is built by ABM ( not sure without going to look) and would like to know if any of the quilters out here have an Innova and what they think of it. I tried one out at our State Fair and it was the smoothest easiest operating machine I have ever tried. You cannot outrun the fast stitch (they call it something else) regulator on that machine, it is awesome.

TheMachineLady................I went to the Des Moines Quilt Show and tried out their 26" and 22" with LS, smooth as butter. I tested out a couple more Innova 26" from quilters in Iowa, found the LS much smoother than their regular SR. Ordered mine a couple weeks ago if that tells you how much I liked it.........:-)
