Just read the idea about gluing a piece of backing used to hold a carpet in place -- that sounds a great idea, too. I'll try that first, and then if it doesn't work, will go with the mouse pad idea. All the sharing of ideas is one of the very best benefits of this site....we all benefit from all the combined knowledge and experience!

i use a chunk of the rubbery shelf liner that is poufy/rubbery stuff that comes on a roll. it's great on shelves, under a kid's butt in a high chair, and under hubby's plate on the table (he has parkinson's, and slippery things are a real pain for him). the cost is pretty small for as much as comes on a roll, and i use it all around the house/camping, etc. makes a quick coaster, too...

I had one of these, but no longer use it. If you have carpet in your sewing room, I found putting some velcro on the bottom of the petal makes it cling to the carpet and it stays put.

I have carpeting, and had trouble with foot pedal traveling-solved it with shelf liner-rubber stuff-glued it to bottom of foot pedal, works like a charm-stays put-cheap, and also put cork contact paper on my other machines pedal-that works well too, and was cheap also.

We now have laminated flooring in the living room and I like to keep one sewing machine in there so I can watch TV and sew. I solved the problem by taking a bathroom rug (rubber on the bottom), turned it upside down, so the rubber was on the top and set my sewing machine on it. Now I have the rubber pad to keep my foot peddle in place. And, I can easily put my sewing machine up and scoot it close to the wall, out of the way if we have company. ( I had an extra rug, so no extra expense)

I also use the rubber stuff you put in drawers in kitchens cabnets and men's tool boxes.It works great for under your sewing machine too. A lot cheaper that what I just saw in the pictures you sent. Good Luck in what ever you choose to do. God Bless Have a great.Memoral Day

I turn my foot pedal around, too. Use a block of wood to prop my foot up high enough. This is on my new straight stitch Juki which cuts the thread if you rock back on the foot pedal. Like the machine, but not that part.

I use rubber waffle weave drawer liner from the dollar store and turn my pedal upside down. Works beautifully!
