Hello,
If you have not checked out Quilt University courses, you must do! I am currently enrolled in my first Quilt U class and it is wonderful. I am learning so much. I am not affiliated with Quilt U in any way, but you should check out the site and browse the courses. I hesitated at first, thinking, how well could this really go..... another friend in my art quilt bee took a class and I saw what she produced. It was pretty neat. I'm enjoying it. I like a week in between classes so I can work at my own pace. I love direct emails to the teacher. They are so great at responding to everyone's work. If you have time, check it out. If you live in a remote area with little access to courses, this IS for you!!!!

do you end up with a degree after this course? I need to check this out because I don't seem to make it to any other classes.

:) Sounds like you would get a degree..... but no, these are quilting classes. These classes are taught by national teachers! The teacher for the one I am taking is an American who is living in Kenya. This fall, she will be teaching a course at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, TX. If you've ever been, you'll know that they provide classes during the week from incredibly talented and creative teachers from around the world. Some of the teachers at Quilt University are published authors as well.

You can!!! The toughest part is mustering up the courage to actually sign up! What spurred me on was that the teacher I wanted to take from was not going to teach for the second half of the year because of her traveling schedule to teach classes. So I knew I had to get into this one or wait. I think you should pick a class that would fit with your skill level and still be a bit challenging. There is such a wide variety that you I'm sure you will learn in whatever class you take. I'm in a design class. I'm on lesson two and I have already learned so much that I will be able to use it for a long time to come. Best to you.
