Can you download onto a USB and then take that to your machine?

Yes, When you stick your USB stick into your computer and download the file from the site, save the file to your USB stick. If you look at your Windows, Explorer, your USB stick will be listed like your drives. Download to that letter that is designated as your USB drive.
