Default Embroidery site similiar to the quilting board

Hello and good evening all,

I used to go to a site for embroidery help and it was a similiar forum to this one. I have a girlfriend who just bought her first embroidery machine and wants to read everything she can. I cannot remember the site. Does anyone know waht I am talking about?

Thanks for your help as always!

There are lots of sites for specific machines under the Yahoo groups. Not sure what machine she has but if she googles it I'm sure she'll find others. I have a Viking and was given a site that offers lots of tips, projects and you can buy CDs on it for your machine. That is what I did for my first machine, a Viking #1 and I was a beginner so the CD was surely worth the $30 it cost. I don't think they update this site anymore but the info is still there to view and I assume if anyone wanted to buy a cd they'd respond.

Have a look at www.cuteembroidery.com
Helpful tips, nice free designs and you can link to a couple of thier other sites. I have found all to be safe-spam free.

I forgot to add in my other post. Try emblibrary.com; if she looks under projects and also under Kenny's Corner she'll find lots of information on everything from needles to stabilizers and lots more. One thing that I do is I always check out sites that have tutorials or projects on them because you can find lots of info from them. Floriani also has lots of info and they do tours with classes and they are cheap and you get lots of freebees; just google them. She can also check out classes at LQS. It doesn't matter if she bought her machine from them normally or if it's a different brand. Mine will let anyone attend as long as you know the basics of sewing on your machine. Tell her good luck and it'll become addicting once she gets into it.

Embroidery Library is awesome. They have some great designs & there are lots of helpers on it. Also Designs by Sick has a group you can join. Also some really cool stuff.
