Default Fat quarters on sale at Joanns

I was in Joanns today to take advantage of the 50% off thread and noticed the fat quarters were on sale for 99cents, then the bad news, compared to the quality of a couple of years ago, they are thin and disappointing, how do I know? Because I still have a stash of some of their FQ's from 2 years ago. I used to purchase them because they were a good value, not so much anymore.

I used to buy the FQs at Joanns- now I completely bypass the ones that are folded into squares, but I still dig through the rolled ones, occasionally I find a gem.

I agree the fat 1/4's are really really thin fabric. I found out when I fell into the pretty print temptation, and bought a few. No more!

I totally agree with you about the fat quarters. They are extremely thin and they are not the quality they used to be. They do have some that are just about the same quality as several years, but you have to be careful and pick the right ones.

Had good luck with the batik FQ's at JoAnn's. Others, I agree, are "garbage" compared to what they were a few years ago. Their solid colors are sometimes okay, other times thin. For 99 cents, I will still take a look.
