Default Have you read Quilt Folk magazine? It's wonderful!

I recently subscribed to Quilt Folk magazine and it is truly a well put together publication. I ordered the back issues for 1/2 price but issue 1 and 2 were not available. It comes out quarterly and each issue highlights a state or region. Great articles and fabulous photos. No adds or patterns. If you get a chance to read it, I highly reccomend.

Quilt Folk is my absolute favorite quilt magazine - in fact, if I had to pick just one subscription I'd give up all the rest for Quilt Folk. Also worth mentioning is the newest offering from the Quilt Folks.. They have a monthly pattern subscription which includes a vintage 'source quilt' that has been re-worked into a 'revival pattern' by current designers (e.g. last month Tula Pink was the revival designer). Both the monthly magazine and the revival patterns are rich in history, regional quilt culture and are full of gorgeous stories/photographs. They may seem pricey but it's so much more than a monthly magazine - and well worth it IMHO.

midwife....I purchased for the 1st time Quilt Folk magazine though Pacific Quilt Company that highlighted Hawaii and their quilts. This is an area of interest for me and I also have completed a number of pieces with queen bed size plumeria quilt. I have not picked up another copy as it is pricey but will have to go to bookstore to check for current copy. Kelela

I have not read the magazine, but I have watched all of the supplemental videos they have on their YouTube channel:

It's nice to see Mary Fons still working with quilts, but getting to write as well.

I read some of an issue. I got bored after a few articles. I know many in my guild love it but it's not my favorite.

I subscribed a couple of months ago, and was lucky enough to get Issues 1 and 2 before they sold out! I have now purchased every back issue, and I subscribe to Quiltfolk Patterns also. It's an expensive magazine but (to me) well worth the price. I don't really even consider it a magazine, it's like a very high-quality book. I enjoy reading about all of the people profiled and their back stories.

WOW -- looks like a great magazine but $75 is more than I can spend. Wonder if the library has a subscription.

why does the site say $3.95 per month and click on something else that says $75.00 subscription per year??? Oh the $3.95 per month is to get a percentage off back patterns. sigh. I will skip this.
