Spent the last couple hours quilting and have the pillow top almost done. I image two or three hours more work. All told about eight full hours quilting a small pillow, wow! Funny thing is, I'm having fun watching it unfold into a thing of beauty.

I'm unsure how far out to quilt. I'll need space to sew it to the pillow backing and am totally unsure how that works. Wait, you mean I actually get to learn something else? How cool it that!

Finally finished. It would have been done sooner if I hadn't found so many other interesting quilting projects along the way. Also, it would have helped if I knew just a bit more about sewing and sewing machines when it came to making the pillow itself. So here are the pictures:

Now for the quilt, I dread the appliqué only because I've planned the six panels. I'm sure it will be rather therapeutic once I start though. 8)

Steve, the pillow came out quite wonderful and it was a special treat to see "come together" in person! Do you like "Hau'oli 'alani Puanani" for a name? Happy little orange flower...close enough? :D
