Love this idea - made a footstool a couple of years ago with furnishing sample pieces given to me. Got three more cut out, pieced - just need to do the applique. Thanks for the reminder that I have those to finish!!

Source maybe Fons and Porters...Template is from one of their magazine which I have no idea for which month...maybe a 2011. Did a little further search and came up with this, hopefully you maybe able to sign in (not sure if this for paid membership or not):

Look for long cabin hexagons on this page

I placed a comment on the bottom of the you tube...hopefully, we see a response soon.

Have a wonderful day!

Thank you - glad you like my footstool ! Was a project in Homespun Magazine here in Australia over a year ago now. It is very well used - and often gets used as a seat as well when lots of friends over - really must get those other three made :) Am packing to move house at the moment - and might even make it a challenge to myself to take them with me ... finished! Would be a nice 'new home' treat for me :)

I love this idea, but is there a trick to piecing the hexagons together? When I've done OBW hexagons, I stitch half-hexagons together in a straight line, but you can't do that here.

The Fall 2011 issue of Fons and Porter's Easy Quilts - Scrapquilts includes a pattern for this quilt on page 15 - called Feedsack Flowers. Actually bought the magazine for that pattern. Hope this helps.
