I got this email from the So. Calif. Council of Quilt Guilds & thought the article linked to it was very interesting. It has some pictures of the quilts that are in the museum exhibit.

I'm reaching out to Southern California quilt guilds in case you or your members are in interested in "American Quilts: Two Hundred Years of Tradition," an exhibit opening Sept. 20 at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. As part of the Los Angeles Times Home section's increased coverage of California crafts, we have posted a short preview of this show at: http://www.latimes.com/features/home...s2008sept16-pg,0,4977485.photogallery. The Home section also has launched a series of occasional stories about California's masters of craft -- living legends of midcentury design. We've completed two profiles so far, with more articles, photo galleries and video planned for the months to come. You can watch our progress at: http://www.latimes.com/mastersofcraft. I hope you find this information of interest, and the entire staff here looks forward to hearing feedback on our coverage. If you would like to share your thoughts about our crafts stories, please write to [email protected]. We're busier than ever, but we still make time to read every letter. Regards, Craig
