It's free throughout the day on Jan 1st. A step will come out every few hours. If you fall behind, that's okay, just print out the instructions.

I'm working on my HST. I discovered that the piece left from cutting out the 6 7/8" square is just enough for the Thangles paper strip, so I broke down an used my favorite method. I wonder of the leftover pieces of the fat quarters will be used, or if we'll just be using what we've cut and made so far? If so...I should've used scraps instead of FQ's!

Looking forward...

And...the prep work is done!

Now to work on other projects until New Year's Day!

I actually finished a couple of UFOs in 2013, and have made progress on an over-12-year-old Twelve Days of Christmas applique. Originally I started it as hand applique but the instructor in my hand applique class was a charter member of the Quilt Police and really turned me off from that technique. SO...I decided do it machine applique instead. I'm up to "seven swans a swimming..." LOL

This is a free one. The clues get posted on New Years Day and then they are taken down.

Joyce, This is completely free for the day. My sister and I are doing it together. We live 2 hours apart but this is an opportunity to share quilting. I am stoked. My problem now is I realize I need 240 HST and not 120. Since I made mine out of scraps I am now scrambling at the last minute to find suitable fabric for my other 120 HST! Thanks Jo!
