Default Singer Sewing Machine - $25 in hudson valley area

Singer Sewing Machine in cabinet for 25.00 looks like a great deal to me needs a little cleaning.... anyone need one!!!!!! not my post.

I think that machine was made after Singer's were all steel, so check the gears as they might be plastic and crumbling already. Also, how would one sew with the machine in that cabinet?? The fabric would fall into the space around it.

it would be very simple to remake a top for that cabinet that the machine, or a different machine would fit into. If anyone is the least bit handy with saw and screws it would make a dandy cabinet for any machine.

Most females are not the least bit handy....including me. A saw and screws might be enough to make a top out of plywood, but I would not want that kind, and a finished wood top would be quite a bit more complicated.
