    Default Poke-a-Dot Sticky Thimbles

I happened across a video for these on the Jillily site & decided to pick up a box at my local LQS. OMG! They are amazing! I am able to do my needle turn applique 4x faster! Not only are they great for protecting my sore little fingers without the bulk of a traditional thimble, they also have this rubbery like surface that makes them great for gripping my needle to pull it the rest of the way through the fabric. I paid $9 for 18 of them and they are reusable (not sure how many times I can reuse them, but I've taken them off and put them back on no problem.

Just wanted to pass along this fun find to any other hand appliquers out there (especially if you do turned edge or needle turn).

I have used them since they first came out. I saw the tin at a quilt show and had to have it. So handy to use instead of a thimble.

I think the ones I have are a different brand. But they stay on forever. I have even forgot I had it on and showered. It stayed. I also do most of my applique on road trips, and they hold up to several hand washings.

I bought several tins and cut the paper so there was one dot per piece. I keep them all in one tin. I can take one out at a time when needed.

i've been using them since i tried hand quilting. now at least half of my group uses them. soooo handy, i have used one for long periods of time and would probably still be using it if i didn't lose it. it's probably stuck to one of the cats or dogs.

That was the problem I had when I tried them. Gave them to my DIL. Then I tried some that were leather and they were great. Stayed in until I was through with them. More flexible too.

awesome... I have not seen them before but will now be on the lookout for a tin. I hate wearing thimbles so this would be perfect for me. Thanks for posting.
