I'm somewhat confused .... what's new? Churn Dash is a very old pattern.

I just don't see how cutting it apart and re-asembling it makes a difference. It still looks the same to me or am I truly missing something?

Thanks for sharing the link ladyshuffler.

I like the Churn Dash pattern.

ladyshuffler Thanks for the pattern. I understand you meant there was a new pattern for a quilt posted at that site.
Sad so people have to be so unkind with their comments when others are trying to help.

Thanks for the pattern

Thank you for the link. I signed up with e-mail to get a new free pattern each week from the site.

I like the look of the on-point settings but don't like sewing the diagonal rows, so this setting technique is very interesting. Making a straight set into an on-point set with just two cuts like this is something I never would have thought of and had never seen. Thanks for posting!

Excuuuuuuuse me!! I asked totally in innocence and stated my reason. Neither the square construction then slicing for on point nor the churn dash block are new techniques, thus why I asked.

Thanks to the Original Poster who later explained her "new" rationale. And there is no need to say you are going to shuffle off because of a misread on what others have said. If you're looking for free new-to-you patterns, here's a site that posts one every day. It's kind of fun to see what's behind the mystery door each day .......
