2022 Monthly Color Challenge from Patterns by Jen
Patterns by Jen has posted the 2022 Monthly Color Challenge. Next year’s theme will be “Spicy.”
https://patternsbyjen.blogspot.com/ I bought a Tim Holtz Eclectic Elements Provisions fat quarter bundle last July. I think it will work nicely for the spicy theme. January - Saffron (Orange) February - Bay Leaf (Green) March - Pink Peppercorn (Pink) April - Nigella Seeds (Black) May - Blue Spice Basil (Blue) June - Yellow Mustard Seed (Mustard) July - Sumac (Purple) August - Cinnamon (Cinnamon) September - Red Pepper Flakes (Red) October - Sage (Sage) November - Clove (Brown) December - Garlic (Cream) |
Thanks, I signed up.

I signed up too. Looks like a fun way to use what is on hand with perhaps a little pop from a LQS when needed. I will pull some colors and then choose a consistent background. Thanks for posting this for us.

Mawluv and WMUteach …. Glad you guys have signed up. It’s a fun BOM.
Here is my Tim Holtz fat quarter bundle. I’ve ordered a purple FQ and some additional low volume fat quarters for background. |

For those keeping track of the monthly color challenge, you can go to Jen’s blog page and find past and present blocks. They are free the month released and then $1 after that. The advantage to sign up for the monthly block is an email with a link to the block instructions. For subscribers, the instructions include a link to a how to video. As someone only quilting for a few years, I find the videos helpful and pick up some nice tips here and there.
I also like visiting Jen’s facebook group to see other blocks. It’s fun to see how different they can look based on fabric. She also has other bloggers that participate, and I enjoy visiting their blogs. One of the February bloggers used the February block to make a nice table runner. https://www.appliquesquiltsandmore.c...8FODwtI7d0pHLc Here is a link to the February block https://patternsbyjen.blogspot.com/ and a photo of my January and February blocks. |
