Hi!

Found this!

http://www.craftpassion.com/2010/04/...h-pattern.html

But it looks a bit out of my league. Has anyone tried it?

Are you doing just the pincushion (top) or both? The bottom one has pockets on the 'shell' for scissors and other things, and that looks a little more complicated. How new are you to quilting? The top one should be fairly easy.

The 'baby' turtle looks pretty easy and the instructions for the larger one look quite good, so I don't think you should have any major trouble with it.

It's really cute, that's for sure.

I think it's the hexagons that are scaring me?

I'm not sure...

Ditto, it's cute but out of my league also.

I made this turtle pincushion for my mother for this past mothers' day. As soon as I get my DH to download the picture from my telephone I will post it.I changed it a little bit though. Green body, orange shell. Put a lady bug button the the shell and crocheted a pansy and put on the shell also. She loved it. It was real cute. Will post picture tomorrow. He is ssnoring on the couch right now. The directions were right on the it was easy to do.
