Affordable quiltingsewing table
I just got my IKEA catalog and always find something practicle for sewing....
This table blows me away for the price.... a lot of similar tables from the sewing furniture co.'s are more money... the pull out is "either side" assembled.... just had to share....hugs B http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80214182/ |
I want that!

All it needs is a slot in the top for your machine. Great price.

Thanks for the info. I looked it up on the Australian site and (as I am ever watchful of the pennies) I was delighted to see that it is only $199.00 - well worth a look.

So glad you found a good deal that you love!

Have any of you ever checked out this Ikea re-do site? It's cool! http://www.ikeahackers.net/

Too bad there isn't a cut out for the machine. It is a good price though.

I bought the Norden gateleg dining table from Ikea for my sewing room. It is very versatile for a small space and has several drawers. Don't know how to get the link here but I noticed it's still in the catalog and is $179.

Here's my new layout: http://www.quiltingboard.com/mission...m-t186237.html |

I recently bought the Sauder Harbor View desk and hutch and I am loving it. I get to store some of my scrapbooking supplies in it too.

my sewing table is a blank metal clad door. it was undrilled and i found it in the economy department of things that were sold cheap. one side had some scratches. I put it on brackets made of a length of 2x4 wood mounted to back of bookshelves made of pressboard , each facing out. Painted them so you don't know they are pressboard and mounted a goosneck lamp from commercial sewing machine on top of one of them. If my room had been a bit larger, i would have used a 6' book shelf on one end and mounted cork board on the back as well. At one point this thing was mounted with one shelf and mounting board attached to wall , at one point it was mounted with 1 shelf and two filing cabinets (I had to build up one of the filing cabinets with an old phone book, but no one could tell.
