My favorite is Legacy Premier Quilt Batting Soy Blent. 50 soy/ 50 cotton. Good for Hand or Machine quilting. Quilts 8 to 10 inches apart. Shrinkage is up to 3% loft is 1/16 inch. It comes in a lot of sizes. Go to www.pellonideas.com . That is where I sent for it and got it on sale.

One time by accident I took a Fairfield batt to my long arm quilter and she told me she liked it better than Hobbs80/20. I couldn't tell any difference in the finished quilt.

Fairfield used to have some really poor quality batting...wonder if its gotten any better?
