Another paper-piecing tute

I have no luck with this technique because it's too "fussy" for my abilities but there are some good hints in this tute that others might find helpful.

What a good basic PP tutorial.

Yes, this is a good basic pp tute, however, when i saw how small her block was, my stomach flip-flopped. I do not do blocks that small---ever! But, yes, if I did, pp would be the way to do. But, for how to demo, it would be better to use a larger sample, and actually do the sewing, not just pin. Btw, she mentions hand sewing the pieces....has anyone done that to pp? I just never thought to.....all in all, her instructions were very clear getting past the tiny block, it is not my favorite process in quilting, and only do if there is no other way! I like carol doak's instructions.

Would've been a better tutorial if she had used a larger demo piece. I prefer the no tear http://www.quiltnbee.biz/shop/Block-...5-x7562107.htm.

Don't know if it's my computer, but I could hardly hear her. Love paper piecing though!

I am a HUGE proponant of the Carol Doak method of PPing which is similar. She shows how to easily measure and cut fabric to fit without a large amount of waste.

I'm working on the 1930s Farmers Wife patterns so each block is different and making multiple templets is not feasible. So, I use an Elmer's Glue stick and fold my fabric like quiltinbee does with freezer paper. Works and I don't have to remove lots of itty bitty pieces of paper when my block is finished.
