How very sad. Never bought anything there but I remember her shop as one on the Bunny shop hop.
Sad news. I also recall it in the Bunny hop~
Yes it is sad, and not sure how any know but Hancocks is in trouble too. I sure do hope they stay in business. I heard they were closing 70 stores.
I too am deeply saddened. I visited the sore once and it was simply amazing.
Uh, Uh.. That should read store, not "sore".
It's a shame to see all of these stores closing, but it is a result of the economy and rising prices. I know it's getting harder to find fabric that I can afford to buy enough at a time for a quilt. I get it in sections or just use from my stash. It would be nice to see fabric prices drop like the gas did.

It looks like this one is closing because the owner wants to retire. She's probably looking forward to her time!
In our area shops aren't selling when owners retire. The one I'm most familiar with didn't sell because the price was high and lots of the merchandise was dated. My friend was very interested, but didn't want to start off with lots of fabric that was older. The owner was thinking todays prices on older goods, so they never could work a deal.
