Another tutorial for joint binding ends
 

I found this tutorial last month and it’s my new favourite way to join the ends. No measuring and it works every time. I make a lot of preemie quilts so I’m always putting binding on. This way works every time.

She makes this look so easy and I have tried it but I get so confused on how to lay the binding fabric. She explains it very clearly so I think I will try this method since I have 2 quilts to put binding on. Thank you so much for sharing this tip.

Re "stopping point" - If my first stitching has a 3/8 inch seam allowance - my stopping point should be at 3/8 inch.

If my first stitching has a 1/8 inch seam allowance - my stopping point should be 1/8 inch.

That "stop at 1/4 inch from the edge" only applies when one is sewing/using a 1/4 inch seam allowance.

Thank you. I do this binding technique but this seems to make it easier. I still hand sew the back binding though.

Just watched the video and that looks like a new method for me to try on my current quilt. And she stitches from the front.

Thank you! I thought I was doing it an easy way, but still hand stitching to the back. I like her method, and the finished product looks great!
