Wonder how large the hexes are?? I assume she used the precut but don't understand why there is a seam down the center.

You could probably do it without the center seam if you cut on the fold. But that would make it harder to sew on the side triangles. She used 5 inch squares and the small hexie ruler.

the hexes look like 5 unfinished, remember she said a charm to cut them out, so with all the seams about 4" finished.

I have also seen a pattern or tute using layer cakes & the larger hexie. Have not done it but do have it saved somewhere.:o
