I'm a happy customer. I put two orders in over the last couple of months and even though the thread comes from Canada, it arrived quickly and the prices are great. I haven't found it cheaper... I love Aurifil thread and now have a good selection of it. I just wanted to post a heads up to anyone interested in it and a link to the website. http://www.tristan.bc.ca/specials.html They carry other thread too.

And here's a link to the main Aurifil page http://www.tristan.bc.ca/cart/home.p...ction=0&page=1

Please refer me if you decide to place an order. I'd get a coupon if you place an order. And I'm sure one quilter would like to help another quilter out:> My name is Candace and my e-mail is [email protected] Thanks much!

"Refer a friend and get rewarded for it - Here's how!

If you refer a friend that purchases online for over $50.00 you receive a $5.00 coupon, if they purchase for over $100.00 you receive a $10.00 coupon. Your $5.00 coupon is for online orders over $50.00 or the $10.00 coupon for orders over $75.00. If you save up to $20.00 in valid coupons you can exchange them for a new $20.00 coupon towards a $100.00 online purchase.
Make sure your referral friend indicates your name and e-mail address in the message box of their invoice."

Great prices, even shipping to US.

There should be a $10 coupon headed your way... I now have enough thread to last as long as my stash ;)

Candace 04-29-2010 05:51 PM

Hey thanks:> I ordered 2 of the April Crashers. I guess there's a limit of 2 per customer. Lots of nice neutrals in the box. My next order will be some of the 40 wt. for quilting tops.

LindaR 04-30-2010 05:55 AM

I love aurifil thread, thanks

Candace 04-30-2010 03:52 PM

Linda, do you use only the 50 wt. for piecing or use the 40 or 30 for quilting? I'm really eyeing the 40 wt. variegated for quilting.

I use the 50 for piecing but I love the 60 for applique...took a class from Nancy Chong for hawaiian and thats would she recommended...it just disappears into the applique...her web site Pacificquilt.com charges only 2.95 for shipping on everything

Candace 05-01-2010 06:42 AM

I couldn't get that site you mention to open?

I'm sorry its www.prqc.com....short for Pacific Rim Quilt Co., that should do it....

Candace 05-01-2010 10:13 AM

Thanks. Neat site. Tristan is quite limited with color selection as I think their clearance pricing is clearing them out:>

BellaBoo 05-01-2010 11:34 AM

What great prices for quality thread! Sure beats the prices here for Aurifil.

Darcene 05-01-2010 01:46 PM

What a great site and even better pricing on the thread....all of the LQS around here start at 10.50......I placed an order on the spot and I will be buying more thread from this company without a doubt....

BellaBoo 05-01-2010 01:49 PM

I started using silk thread for appliqué. It really disappears into the fabric.

I agree. The only issue is that you have to be rather open to using whatever colors they have left in stock. The selection is limiting.

I forgot to refer you so I contacted Tristan and gave them your info to be credited for my order. I didn't have a $50 order but maybe they will add up all the orders referred? I hope so.

I ordered two of the metal color thread sets.

Candace 05-02-2010 10:28 AM

Thanks, that's very nice of you. I appreciate it!

zz-pd 05-03-2010 10:53 PM

thank you for the site. God bless. Penny

Candace 05-04-2010 05:58 AM

I just got an e-mail for the special they've having for May on an Aurifil box of thread. Sigh, must resist...must resist.

BellaBoo 05-07-2010 07:47 AM

I got my order today. I'm 100% a happy customer. The colors are great and blended just right for the set. The Metal set has shades of gray, gold, and copper. The Leaves and Stem set has shades of greens and browns. It's the best price I've seen for Aurifil mini cones.

Me too. I think with shipping it works out to what, like a little less than $5 a spool?? And I've never seen it for sale less than $8 and the typical cost is $9-$10!

I've been sewing only using this thread lately and I love it.

peaceandjoy 05-07-2010 05:29 PM

It really is a great price - hoping to get mine soon!

BellaBoo 05-20-2010 09:02 AM

OH! This thread company is fantastic! The thread is becoming addictive to me. There are new sale prices, check them out. The grab bags are the best prices I've seen anywhere.

Candace 05-20-2010 09:42 AM

Have you tried the 28 wt. thread yet? I just machine quilted my first top using 30 wt. thread and I really liked how it made the quilting pop. I'm thinking of ordering the one door buster sale they've got with 1/2 of it 28 wt. thread.

quiltersew 05-25-2010 05:44 AM

Whay does all the weights mean when you are looking at Aurifil?????

itsmesuzq 05-26-2010 08:06 AM

Thanks so much for this link. I just put my order in as well. I've heard that Aurifil is great for quilting! I've been using Gutterman (not bad) and the usual ones sold in the LQS. Anyway, thanks again.

craftybear 05-27-2010 07:11 AM

thanks

Candace 05-27-2010 07:19 AM

I just got a notice that one of my local stores will now be carrying Aurifil. I guess the word is out:>

Jennalyn 04-10-2011 09:17 AM

I just took advantage of this offer and credited you, Candace. Thank you!

Candace 04-10-2011 09:28 AM

Thanks, that's very nice of you!!
